Rianne Van Rompaey for Tom Ford’s Women Winter 2024 Collection

Tom Ford’s latest Fall/Winter 2024 campaign is a fashion cinematic experience starring Rianne Van Rompaey, Fei Fei Sun, Meng Yu Qi. Shot in Shanghai, affectionately known as “Modu” (Capital of Magic or Enhanced City) by it’s residents, serves as the main inspiration of the unfolding anthology of the three faces of the campaign in a blend of dark glamour and Shanghai’s hyper-modernity. From the nighttime atmosphere to daytime of a brilliant metropolis, Tom Ford’s latest collection more than looks the part in its aesthetics of velvet military chasseur and cashmere suede jackets, washed denim and leather trench coats exuding confidence, charisma, clarity, beauty, and power.

Doutzen Kroes for Vogue Netherlands September 2024 by Lachlan Bailey

After a hiatus from modeling, Doutzen Kroes makes a welcomed comeback to her native Vogue Netherlands for their September issue, sharing a more tender and introspective side of her. The homebody and a model with a green thumb reflect on the highs and lows and matters of the heart since a controversial social media post made years ago. Doutzen describes that time as a late puberty phase where she was reacting to the feelings of being censored earlier in her career and told not to espouse certain opinions to not offend future clients.

Doutzen talks about her long-time friend and agent Mo Karadag and the two’s stubbornness to not give up on each other in that tumultuous time. Doutzen also discusses her upbringing in a Calvinist, idealistic family, the healing of her relationships, and her beautiful tribute to her late father.

I have immense respect and appreciation for Doutzen Kroes. Who she is as a person, and her character always stands out the most. I’m so happy she made her return to Vogue Netherlands. Thanks for being who you are Doutzen. You truly are a “model” soul.

“If all the world hated you and believed you wicked, while your own conscience approved of you and absolved you from guilt, you would not be without friends.” ― Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre
