Karmen Pedaru for Elle Italia Weekly February 2023

Deputy and digital director Barbara Digiglio explains the reasoning behind the latest trend of of revenge songs for the return of ELLE Italia Weekly. Between Shakira and Miley, pop music’s fascination with revenge and the failing or betrayal of love is among the major themes today for discussion for singers and even among TikTokers. Digiglio doesn’t prefer the state of affairs and misses a bit the days of the crazy love song, but nonetheless the theme of revenge and the anger at heartbreak seems to be all the rage.

Karmen Pedaru also graces ELLE Italia Weekly in the latest Italian leisurewear. Wearing Max Mara, Michael Kors, Miu Miu, and Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, stylist Laura Seganti wanted to emphasize dried textures, natural materials, chameleonic style with country chic aplomb among the Apulian trulli. With her love of wearing pyjamas while travelling the world as a model, Karmen Pedaru has finally made her longtime passion into a reality with launching her luxurious, high-quality and timeless pyjamas collection aptly named Karmen Pedaru Sleep. Believing in the importance of self-care and wanting to share a more creative reflection of herself, Karmen Pedaru created a collection showing her multiple personalities, and even her more witty and sarcastic side.

The collection has 13 different colorful and creative pyjama sets and and sleep mask. One of the things I love most of the pyjamas is the witty name for the different sets like, “The Snuggly Poppies,” “Mix Business With Smoothie,” and “I’m Special.” Each pyjama set also has its own unique short story which range from the downright whimsical to heartwarming. Along with its fun creative designs, Karmen Pedaru’s pyjamas prides its products being made from 100% Mulberry silk which is regarded as the highest qualify silk in the world with a longer lifespan compared to other silk.

Karmen Pedaru Silk Quality:

  • 100% mulberry 22 momme silk produced in China.
  • Dyed in Shandong by Zibo Daranfang Silk Group Co. Ltd.
  • Both OEKO-TEX 100 quality standard certificate and verified by the SGS testing organisation.
  • Located in Shengze town, Suzhou city, Jiangsu province, China. The famous silk town.

I’m so happy for Karmen and this amazing venture. She’s such a phenomenal model. You can see the creativity and how well thought out her pyjama designs are with the accompanying stories.

Best Time Ever

The Snuggly Poppies

“My collection is a reflection of me. A reflection of my multiple personalities. Utterly feminine, yet wild and free. Bold and powerful, yet fragile and sensual. And occasionally a little child-like. Non-judgmental, witty and sarcastic enough not to take me too seriously.”
