Hana Jirickova & Filipee Neves for Vogue Portugal June 2023 by Branislav Simoncik

Happy Belated Birthday Hana Jirickova

Eudaimonia: For June 2023, Vogue Portugal wanted to dedicate an entire issue to the art of travelling in “its most varied forms and dimensions,” asking themselves about their dream trips yet to be realized. Vogue Portugal also opines on the very meaning of travel, not only physical destinations, but philosophical, cultural, and pleasures of travel. Models Hana Jirickova and Filipee Neves stop by in the issue for an ode to Midsummer vacation, romanticizing calls of the beach, ice cream at dusk, life in flip-flops and cliches of memories of a summer filled childhood. Hana can be seen wearing Roberto Cavalli, Isabel Marant, Alberta Ferreti, and Louis Vuitton.

“The true voyage of discovery does not consist in looking for a new landscape, but in having a new look. We travel to be able to return. To see where we came from with new eyes and new colors. Because coming home is not the same as never leaving. Before leaving for distant hemispheres, try to realize what you have actually seen. Sometimes we are sitting on top of the treasure without knowing it. Put down the “maps” and get lost: discover new places, in your street, in your city, in your country… in a book, or in a magazine. Just let go.”

-And, no time, no distance, I wish you happy travels.

Anna Ewers for Vogue Mexico June 2023 by Inez & Vinoodh

For their June 2023 issue, Vogue Mexico enlist the amazing talents of Inez & Vinoodh and top model Anna Ewers for a far out and glamourous 1970s inspired cover and editorial. On the Yucatan Coast, in port of Sisal, Vogue Mexico interprets a summer dream while looking at the season’s trends. As trends point to nostalgia, leather garments, eclectic prints, shiny metallics with an admiration for rock & roll iconography shape to be the definitive inspiration for the summer.

Icons Inez & Vinoodh with the fashion direction of Valentina Collado take their inspiration from the more rebellious and liberated aspects of youth with a little nod to the 70s while Anna Ewers is a vision of Brigitte Bardot wearing Chanel, Prada, Vivienne Westwood, and Gucci.

Birgit Kos Models New Yorker’s CENSORED Summer 2023 Collection by Cameron Hammond

Based in Braunschweig, Germany, international fashion brand New Yorker has released a new swimwear collection from their Censored brand. Photographed on the Balearic island of Mallocra (Majorca), the collection takes its inspiration from the “white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, romantic fincas, picturesque alleys, colorful flowers, olive trees, dizzying serpentine roads, sangria, empanadas” of Mallorca.

“The motto for a beach day at one of the numerous Playas is: Less is more! This also applies to our sophisticated swimsuit in beautiful emerald green. Depending on the perspective, the generous, sexy cutouts make it look like a bikini. Definitely an eye-catcher and a must for every sun worshiper! Golden details provide additional glamour. So you can be sure of making a big entrance even in the smallest bay.”
