Celebrating their 25th Anniversary, Harper’s Bazaar Czech Republic looks back fondly on the women and creatives who impacted their magazine the most, looking forward to the future with creative optimism. Thankfully, Karmen Pedaru splashes onto the cover and pages of Harper’s Bazaar Czech Republic September 2021 issue to partake in the anniversary! Like her own dreamscape in a Picasso Painting with an elegant Marcel Waves inspired hairstyle and wearing pieces that could have been inspired from 1920s fashion like Miu Miu, Dior, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, and Valentino, beautifully melding together fashion and modernist art.

Liner-note: I thought this was such a cool editorial. I immediately thought of Picasso and the Marcel Waves hairstyle from the 1920s was such an awesome idea. The images feel so dreamy and abstract. Karmen Pedaru’s aura is so pensive and the whole setting feels like a beautiful blend of Mazzy Star and Picasso.
